View this unique event featuring commentary on “The Dark Knight Rises” (directed by Christopher Nolan) with a discussion of theology and culture. Dr. Ben Witherington and Dr. Philip Tallon, both sharp scholars in their respective fields, were hosted by J.D. Walt, Seedbed’s Sower in Chief.

Ben Witherington is Amos Professor of New Testament for Doctoral Studies at Asbury Theological Seminary and on the doctoral faculty at St. Andrews University in Scotland. A graduate of UNC, Chapel Hill, he went on to receive the M.Div. degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. from the University of Durham in England. He is now considered one of the top evangelical scholars in the world, and is an elected member of the prestigious SNTS, a society dedicated to New Testament studies.

Philip Tallon is the author of The Poetics of Evil and the co-editor of The Philosophy of Sherlock Holmes. He received his Ph.D. from St. Andrews University. Alongside his post as Affiliate Professor of Philosophy and Religion at Asbury Theological Seminary, he is the Director of Student Ministries at Christ United Methodist Church in Memphis, TN.
