About the Study

The book of Isaiah is arguable the most complete book in the Bible, theologically speaking. It touches on diverse themes such as the character of God, his covenant with Israel, the Suffering Servant of God—whom we know to be Jesus—and the salvation that God makes available to the world.

In this OneBook Daily-Weekly study, Dr. John Oswald concludes his exposition of Isaiah with Chapters 56-66 of the book. This section seeks to answer especially why God wants to make salvation available to his people again.

As we discover in this sacred text, God saves his people in order that they may share in his life and declare this good news to the rest of the world. And rather than have his people resign themselves to spiritual defeat, God will make good on his promise to actually make his people into a new creation.
