We are pleased to announce that in 2014 we’ll be launching the long-awaited Seedbed Podcast, affectionately called “The Threshing Floor.” Chad, Drew, and Joshua — 3 ministers from different denominations and backgrounds – will host the show and talk everything from music, movies, ministry, and theology.
The Threshing Floor is a conversational, Wesleyan podcast focusing on young thought leaders of the Wesleyan movement. The three hosts are practicing pastors in different denominations, but share a theological assumption based on the ministry of John Wesley and the greater Wesleyan movement.
In this episode of The Threshing Floor our hosts talked about why they love Advent and what it was like journeying towards celebrating Advent. All three of our hosts grew up in a non-liturgical traditions, so Advent is a recent holiday for them.
Chad interviews JD Walt, sower in chief of Seedbed about the new relationship between The Threshing Floor and Seedbed.
As always, there is some great off topic banter. Our closing song is from The Opiate Mass‘s record “From the Belly of a Woman“. It is their rendition of the classic advent song “For Unto Us a Child is Born”. You can get The Opiate Mass’s music from the usual places and The Threshing Floor is a big fan.
