While Islam covers a spectrum of beliefs, there are several unifying, core commitments. The same is true for the Muslim practices: Some adhere to a radical version of political Islam (this is what typically makes the news), while others are quite passive about their faith. Most Muslims living in the West are moderate people with meaningful family lives. The church is called by Jesus to love our neighbors and to practice radical hospitality. What might this look like for the increased presence of Muslims moving into our communities?
