So much of what passes for prayer is really just inner dialogue, or performative monologue.
Prayer is not so much a disciplined duty or fervent activity as it is a comprehensive way of walking and working with God.
Remember, this is an invitation. Will you follow Jesus? Don’t let the failings of his followers deter you. Come and see for yourself.
If we’re honest, most of the time our faith is just about wanting God to fix the broken things in our lives.
When it comes to life’s challenges, your feelings will deceive you, so your faith must lead you.
A transformed life is like a sign and wonder that keeps on going.
With a bird’s-eye view of the first-century church, everywhere we see the activity of the Holy Spirit we would also witness the opposition stirring.
When the church lives in awe of God, the kingdom breaks out into the world.
Prayer is not the only thing we do but it is the first thing.
Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus is physically present and active in the physical and active presence of his followers.
The Holy Spirit stands on the ready to help take back the already reclaimed territories of God’s kingdom.
The church is the power of God in the presence of people for the sake of the world.
