Psalm 96
Julie Tennent

1O sing to the Lord, a new song now sing;
O sing to the Lord, all earth your praise bring.
2O sing to the Lord and give praise to His Name,
And each day salvation which He wrought proclaim.

3Among nations all, His glory declare;
His marvelous deeds are seen everywhere.
4For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
He is to be feared above all gods and ways.

5For all of the gods of nations are vain,
But God made the heav’ns, and o’er them does reign.
6Before Him are splendor and great majesty,
All glory and strength are in His sanctuary.

7Ascribe to the Lord, O fam’lies of earth,
Ascribe to the Lord strength, glory and worth.
8Ascribe to the Lord glory due to His Name;
Bring off’rings and come to His courts; praise proclaim.

9O worship the Lord in splendor displayed
of holiness which earth’s trembling conveyed.
10Say among the nations, “The Lord alone reigns!”
The world is established; it firmly remains.

The Lord God will judge with true equity,
11Let heavens rejoice; let earth joyful be.
Let the sea resound, all in them shout again;
12Let fields all be jubilant – all that’s in them.

Then all of the trees will sing out for joy;
13They’ll sing before God; All praise they’ll employ
because He is coming, the earth’s judge to be:
Judge earth and all peoples with right equity.
