Psalm 53

SM (66.86)
From The Book of Psalms for Worship, © Crown and Covenant, used with permission

1The fool says in his heart, “There is not any God.”
They are corrupt; their deeds are vile; there’s no one who does good.

2From heaven God looks down on sons of men abroad,
To see if any understands, if any seeks for God.

3Each one has turned aside; corrupt have all become;
There’s no one who does what is good; no, not a single one.

4Those working wickedness – do they not know at all,
Who eat my people as their bread, and on God do not call?

5Once fearless, now they fear; God scatters all their bones;
And you will put your foes to shame – they’re God’s rejected ones.

6Let Isr’el’s rescue come, from Zion help now bring;
When God restores His captive ones, let Jacob, Isr’el sing.
