Psalm 3

L.M. (88.88)
Julie Tennent

1O Lord, how my foes have increased!
How many rise up against me!
2They say, “There is no help in God,
There’s no deliv’rance for his plea.”

3But You, Lord, are my strength and shield,
My glory, who my head lifts still.
4Unto the Lord I cry aloud,
He answers from His holy hill.

5And as for me, I lay and slept;
I woke, the Lord is always near.
6Though thousands come against my soul,
I will not be afraid or fear.

7Arise, O Lord, and save me, God!
Arise, and smite them on the jaw.
8Salvation from the Lord does come,
You bless all those who on You call.
